I am sure that most will have read the recent article in Steam Railway regarding the state of the secondhand book market. This was easily predictable and for those of us in the trade we have seen it coming - bulging storerooms of 1960-90's unsellable books have become a fact of life. Frequent trips to the charity shops and recycling centres have failed to keep the tsunami of unwanted secondhand books at bay. Therefore, if you are considering downsizing your collection, and you are going to send a list, then fine, but only books from the following publishers will be considered;
Trackside, Lightmoor, HMRS, Transport Publishing, Rail Romances, Wild Swan, Oakwood, Twelveheads, Black Dwarf, Smaller and Provincial Presses, European Publishers (most) and American Publishers (except Bonaza and Golden West). In addition certain selected titles may be considered from OPC, Runpast, SLP, Noodle, Irwell and Middleton Press.
DUE TO THE VERY LOW DEMAND FOR ANYTHING PUBLISHED 1960-90, THE ATTACHED WEBSITE WILL ONLY REFLECT BOOKS FROM THE ABOVE PUBLISHERS OR BOOKS OF MERIT. Other books may be available - please email your request.
